FutureHealth just completed a new documentary on Personal Safety, available at www.MyFutureHealth.com. This Personal Safety documentary contains true stories from individuals who have faced:
- Physical and Sexual Assaults
- Cyberbullying (Social Media/Internet)
- Identity Theft
What you need to know about Personal Safety
Sexual and Physical Assault
- Every 120 seconds a person in the U.S. is sexually assaulted.
- Teens age 16-19 are 3.5 times more likely to be victims of rape or sexual assault.
Social Media and Internet Safety
- 56% of teens who have experienced cyberbullying do not report it.
- Victims of cyber bullying are at an increased risk for low self-esteem, health problems, substance abuse, and possible suicide.
Identity Theft
- Approximately 15 million people in the U.S. have their identity stolen each year.
- About 7% of persons age 16 or older were victims of identity theft in 2014.
