Michael Kurland
Michael Kurland has an MSPH in Health Systems Management from the University of Missouri. His most recent position was serving as the Director of Health Services for the University of Connecticut (an AAAHC accredited organization) from 1988 until his retirement in 2015.

His experience in college health has included management, policy development, strategic planning as well as prevention/education initiatives. He was instrumental in the development of the sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) program at the university.

Michael has also served on the boards of Windham Hospital and Natchaug Hospital as well as the Board of the Eastern Highlands Health District. He is a Lifetime Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Barbara O'Connor
Chief Barbara O'Connor has over 33 years of law enforcement experience working in both municipal and campus environments. Her leadership roles include serving as Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Connecticut.

In March of 2012, Chief O'Connor lead the University Of Connecticut's Division of Public Safety which includes the Police Department, Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management and the Fire Marshal and Building Inspectors Office until retiring in May of 2016.

Chief O'Connor has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Masters in Labor Studies, and a Juris Doctor. She is a licensed attorney in Massachusetts.

Dr. Robert Roose
Robert Roose, MD, MPH, FASAM is currently the Chief Medical Officer/Vice President of Addiction & Recovery Services for the Sisters of Providence Health System (SPHS). He is also currently on the Quality Improvement Council of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the Substance Use Disorder Prevention and Treatment Task Force of the Massachusetts Hospital Association, and Massachusetts Governor Baker's Opioid Addiction Working Group.

In 2012 he was named "Addiction Medicine Physician of the Year" by the New York State Department of Health's Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services.

Dr. Roose earned his Doctor of Medicine and Master in Public Health degrees at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington D.C.

Debbie Saremi
Debbie Saremi has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. As a licensed attorney in Massachusetts, Debbie had worked in private practice prior to joining Consolidated Health Plans as its Vice President of Compliance in 1998.

She is a licensed insurance broker and has held licenses in all 50 states. She had responsibilities for policy filings, overseeing claims and customer service at CHP until retiring in 2014.

Debbie is currently a partner and general counsel for Future Health and Saremi LLP. Debbie is an adjunct professor in the MBA program at Elms College. She is currently a board member at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield and a member of the Foundation Board at the Sisters of Providence Health Systems.

Debbie Saremi received her MBA in 1984 from American International College. She also holds a Juris Doctorate from Western New England University.

Kevin Saremi - Founder
Kevin is the Founder and President of Future Health (FH). Kevin has over 30 years of insurance industry experience with over 25 years in the student health and employee benefit products.

Kevin was the founder & CEO of Consolidated Health Plans, a third party insurance administrator and preferred provider network in Massachusetts working with colleges and universities across the United States. In 2011, Consolidated Health Plans was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway. Kevin is also the founder and managing partner of Saremi LLP (a real estate company).

He has held various positions at Palmer Goodell Insurance, Paul Revere Insurance Companies and Monarch Capital. Kevin is a board member at American International College and a member of the World Presidents' Organization. Kevin is a past Board Member of Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield and the Holyoke Boys & Girls Club.

Kevin holds a MBA & B.S. in Business and an Associates Degree in Accounting.

Brian Stalder
Brian Stalder brings 23 years of insurance experience. He started with Commercial Travelers Mutual Insurance Company in 1993 and is currently Vice President and Director of Marketing.

Brian, in his capacity, is part of the executive team at Commercial Travelers overseeing all Sales, Marketing, and pricing activity of the company.

Brian became a member of the LOMA (Life Office Management Association) and earned the designation FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) in 2001. Prior to his employment at Commercial Travelers, Brian was a math teacher at Whitesboro High School in New York.

Brian received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education from SUNY College at Buffalo in 1990.
