NDAFW was launched in 2010 by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. This week of awareness was created to help shatter the myths about drugs and drug use. It also connects students with scientists and other experts to increase awareness about these issues and provide resources for those in need.
National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week is intended to break down the stigmas and myths about drug and alcohol use that are portrayed through media and culture. Local events can be found throughout the United States during this week of awareness. Experts in these topics will be readily available to anyone looking for more information. Trivia and other games are often available to make learning fun!
