In 2010, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) launched National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week to help teens understand that there are myths surrounding drugs and alcohol. These damaging myths can be spread through the internet, social media, TV, movies, music, even friends. National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week aims to counteract and shatter those myths and bring education to teens about the potential health risks.
Scientists and science writers will open up the lines of communication to answer students questions during a live web chat (click here for more information and registration)
